Tuesday's Mini Coupon Trip to CVS

I was getting a little stir crazy in the house(due to the rain) so BFB suggested I go shopping. Who am I to argue with that!

So, I pulled up my couponing website. Jotted a few notes down. Pulled out some coupons... Found I had a few better coupons than my couponing website(LOVE that), and away I went.
I split up my purchases and when I get to explaining drug store systems I'll explain why... For now it's too complicated.

My first purchase was:

So after store sales & coupons I paid::

$4.97 for 2 Herbal Essences. Received $1.00 RR. After RR I paid $1.98 each... (Regularly $3.99 each)

$5.00 for 2 Gillette Men's Body Wash($2.50 each... Regularly $4.99each)

$5.74 for Crest Pro Health Rinse. Received $5.00 RR. After RR I paid .74¢. (Regularly $6.89 each)

$2.27 for Oral B Floss. Received $2.00 RR. After RR I paid .27¢. (Regularly $3.99 each)

(I had a $10 RR from a Razor promotion CVS was running & a $5 RR from a deodorant promotion.)

CVS COUPON(RR) $15.00

Total at Regular Pricing:: $29.04
Total after in store sales:: $21.74
Total after coupons:: 17.99

I used my $15 in RR Making my total $2.99 + .21¢ sales tax

Making my total $3.20

This sounds good, I know but it's not over. So now the register rewards print. If you subtract the store credit that print for my chosen purchases... I got the above named products for -$4.80.

I was going to go into my second purchase but now that I have this typed out I don't see a need. I purchased a few of the same items to get some more RRs but it's the EXACT same methods.

Total on the day I got $40.12 worth of name brand products for $11.00.

If you count my register rewards(store credit) I have to spend on my next trip then I came out spending -$4.00

I do like a good couponing trip!
