Easy Homemade Caramels...

It's not a secret that I am madly addicted to pinterest... So real quick before bed I'm going to share a pinterest find with a Rachel twist.

I have made homemade caramel before only to find that if you're not a professional weight lifter it'll kill your arm. I saw microwave caramel and that it only too 6 minutes to make and decided... I'm okay with wasting a mere 6 minutes on something new. So here's the caramel recipe

Microwave Caramel:
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup light Karo syrup
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk

Mix all ingredients in a microwave safe bowl(I used a glass loaf pan because all of my glass bowls are MIA).

Microwave for 6 minutes... Stirring every two. Pour into a lightly greased dish. Cool. Enjoy.

I, like always, slightly deviated. I put the molten caramel into a glass liquid measuring cup, poured it into a greased star shaped ice cube tray & put it in the freezer. Once frozen they popped out easier than ice cubes. You can stop there but that'd be too easy for me.

Next, I busted out my Velata warmer(which I sell, www.chloeado.velata.us), a bag of our premium Belgian Milk chocolate(SOOOO good & I'm not just saying that because I sell it... I'm a chocoholic!!), melted the bag (which takes at the most 22 minutes in the warmer that will NEVER SCORCH OR BURN the chocolate) and half dipped the caramels in the chocolate. They don't have a huge color pop (which I LOVE) but they are awesome!!! (0:

This recipe is sooo easy you'd be silly not to try it!!! (0:

Nighty Nite. Velata dreams too you & yours!!
